Ephesians 4:1-6
Ephesians 4:1-6
Paul now makes a transition. He goes from telling us who we are in Christ and all that we are in Christ, to challenging us to live for Christ. Considering all that God has done for us in Christ, the command to live for Christ is more than reasonable.We are called to walk worthy in order that we would keep the wonderful unity that we already have in Christ. Paul explains to us what virtues will be needed to keep this unity, and he also explains the seven elements that make up this solid foundation of our glorious unity in Christ.Paul is not making a suggestion. He is giving a command from God. Based on all that we have already ready, we are fully equipped to fulfill this command. The question before us is not can I live for Christ, but will I live for Christ.Will we live for Christ to the glory of the Father?

Chapter 4
1
I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
2
With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
3
Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4
There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5
One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6
One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
