Colossians 2:8-10

Paul has shown us what true Christian maturity is. He has told us why it is so critical to be mature in Christ. And he has told us how to live in true Christian maturity. Now he will come back to warning us of the grave dangers that all believers will face. Many don't like to hear the hard message that comes with severe warnings. Yet they are necessary. As believers, we enter the battlefield the instant we are born again. We must be thoroughly warned and continuously maturing in Christ. As it has been said before, the Christian life is a battleground not a playground. The key to fighting this battle is to recognize always that we are complete in Christ. We fight this battle through knowing God's word and living in obedience to His word. As we obey God's word we then will abide in Christ.
