I Thessalonians 3:11-13

I Thessalonians 3:11-13

We spent much time in this study looking at love and what it means biblically. True biblical, Christian love has no trace of self. It is selfless in every way. True biblical love focuses on the welfare of others to the glory of God. Paul prays that the believers in the Thessalonian church would both increase and abound in true Christian love. This prayer applies to us as well. To increase and abound in love will only happen in the life of a believer as we abide in Christ: as we know His word and as we live in obedience to His word.May we all increase and abound in the love of Christ.

Chapter 3
11 Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you.
12 And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:
13 To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.
