I Timothy 1:4-7
The purpose of the command that no other doctrine would be taught other than doctrine that is true to Jesus and His word is love. The purpose of the command from God is love. We respond in love when we obey the commands that come from God.
Knowing and obeying God's word is central to being filled with the Holy Spirit. It is central to bearing the fruit of the Spirit, love.
May we all be true to Jesus and His word.

Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.

Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;

Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.
