I Timothy 1:18-20

I Timothy 1:18-20

Paul now returns to his original charge to Timothy. Timothy is to stop all bad doctrine from being taught at Ephesus. There is no room ever for bad doctrine in the body of Christ. Timothy is to protect the pure doctrine of God's word at all cost.

Paul challenges Timothy to fight the good fight. Ministry is warfare. We, as believers must all be prepared to fight the good fight always. We must remember what Wiersbe says, "the Christion journey is a battleground not a playground.

May we all fight the good fight until Jesus calls us home.

Chapter 1
18 This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;
19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
20 Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
